MINISTER OF LANDS
TOUR OF SWAMP AREA CONCLUDED. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, May 10. The Minister of Lands after a further tour of the Woodlands swamp area and receiving a deputation from tho drainage authorities at Taupiri left in the afternoon for the Huntly district. This evening he meets the settlers of Lower Waikato who desire river improvement works, claiming that large areas of farm land arc inundated annually owing to the silting up of the Waikato River.
