SIR DOUGLAS MAWSON
EXPEDITION TO ANTARCTIC. REQUESTS FROM SCIENTISTS. London, May 9. In an interview, Sir Douglas Mawson, who is working at Australia House, states that he has just received the New Zealand Government’s request to. include two New Zealand scientists. He is giving the. names most careful consideration. About a thousand similar applications have been received, but no appointments have yet been made. The plans on the Discovery are well in hand, and the expedition will leave with a full belief that it has the moral and financial support of the people of Britain, Australia, and New Zealand—Australian Press Association.
