PUKERAU NOTES. CRICKET CLUB CONCERT. (From Our Correspondent.) A delightful concert was held last Wedthe programme being provided by Miss Ida Mac Gibbon’s party from Gore. Mr J. Edwards presided and in welcoming the performers stated that it was unfortunate that the wet night had accounted for the small attendance, but he assured those present that they would be provided with a musical and vocal treat. Following is the programme of items: Mr E. Ottrey; part, song, Mesdames Cooper, Rutherford, Pettigrew and Harvey, Misses M. Mac Gibbon and Mavis Gee, Messrs Dunbar, Pringle, Johnson, Ottrey, Rutherford and Dunn; song, Mrs Cooper; song, Mr Dunbar; violin duet, Miss Latham and Mr Kroning; song, Miss M. Gee; part song, Messrs Dunbar, Pringle, Ottrey and Dunn; duet, Mrs Cooper and Miss M. Mac Gibbon; song, Mr Johnson; pianoforte solo, Mrs Rutherford; solo, Mrs Harvey; duet, Miss Gee and Mrs Pettigrew; song, Mr Pringle; part song, Mesdames Cooper, Rutherford, Harvey and Pettigrew, Misses Gee and Mac Gibbon; song, Mr Ottrey; song, Mrs Cooper; violin duet, Miss Latham and Mr Kroning; part, song Messrs Dunbar, Pringle, Ottrey and Dunn. The accompaniments were delightfully played by Miss Ida' MacGibbon.
The chairman, in moving a hearty vote of thanks to the performers, stated that no words of his were required to express the pleasure and delight the entertainment had given them. The enthusiasm of the applause had shown it throughout. The vote was enthusiastically carried by acclamation. Supper was then dispensed, after which a dance was held to music supplied by Beccard’s Orchestra.
