He is line bred to “Grannie’s Knight”—one of New Zealand's greatest butter-fat bulls and famous as being a son of "Holly Oakes Anne,” 10561b5. fat. On his sire’s side he traces to “Golden Swan” (imp.) thus ensuring a strong strain of “Golden Lad.” He has been shown from Invercargill to Christchurch and has never been out of a place being the winner of several first prizes, also championships and reserve championships.
