THE MOST DANGEROUS

HALF DRUNK MOTORISTS. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, May 8. “A motorist who is half drunk and reckless is probably more of a menace than one properly drunk,” said the Magistrate, Mr Wyvern Wilson, in the Hamilton Court this morning. The case was one in which Frederick George Turner pleaded guilt.v to being intoxicated while in charge of a car. The Magistrate said a thoroughly drunk man might run off the road, whereas one half drunk might do incalculable damage. Turner admitted having two long beers immediately before a' collision with a car driven by T. Campbell. The evidence showed that an attempt was being made to overtake two cars abreast when Campbell’s car approached. A fine of £lO was imposed and the license suspended for six months.
