THE TRAVIS BEQUEST.

The North Canterbury Hospital Board has received from the trustees of the Travis Estate the sum of £7OO. This amount will be spent on the purchase of radium for the board’s radium and deep therapy department, and is the payment out of the bequest. It is not known yet exactly how much will be available from the estate to give effect to the testator’s desire to forward the cause of medical research.
