SWEPT BY TORNADO
FIFTEEN DEATHS IN ARKANSAS.

At Little Rock (Arkansas) thirteen negroes were instantly killed and two fatally injured by a tornado at Tiller on Sunday. —Australian Press Association. TWENTY-TWO DEATHS. (Rec. 9.45 p.m.) New York, April 22. Tornadoes, floods and hailstorms caused at least 22 deaths, principally in the southwestern States to-day. The Mississippi is flooding a wide area at Canton (Missouri).
New York City experienced a thunderstorm in which the thunder was so intense as to shake house furnishings in one section of the city.—Australian Press Association.
