FLIGHT FROM ENGLAND.

NEW ZEALANDER’S VENTURE,

London, April 19,

Lady Bailey christened Mr 11. F. Masc’s aeroplane at Croydon, naming it the All Black. Mr Masc received Sir Joseph Ward’s telegram wishing him “bon voyage.” He carries the Hampshire Aeroplane Club’s greetings to the Auckland Club. Mr Masc expects to set. out. in a few days’ time. His machine, which is equipped with an SO-gallon tank, has a longer range than any light aeroplane and is capable of covering 2000 miles normal travel. It is also fitted with interchangeable wings, and these may be. reversed at will.

On the last hop to New Zealand he will have 100 per cent, reserve fuel, thus reducing the hazard to a minimum.—Australian Press Association.
