TRAINING OF YOUNG DOCTORS.

STATEMENT BY MINISTER.

Hamilton, April 18

The Minister of Health stated to-day that the Government was moving in the direction of making larger use of public hospitals for training young doctors in postgraduate courses and clinical experience. .

The statement was made at a conference with the Waikato Hospital Board after the Minister had been asked what was the policy of the present Government regarding a nationalized health service.

Mr Stallworthy said that this question had not yet been considered by the present Government.
