RAILWAY ACCIDENT
EXPRESS SMASHES INTO GOODS TRAIN DISASTER NEAR BRUSSELS (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Paris, April 17. The Amsterdam express from Paris overran the signals near Brussels. There followed a shocking collision with a goods train. Ten bodies have already been recovered. Many of the injured are still pinned beneath the wreckage. Twelve persons were killed and 20 injured. The engine, after cutting through the end of the goods train, continued on for 100 yards and somersaulted through the gates of a level crossing into the street.— Australian Press Association.
