NEAR WYNDHAM LAST FRIDAY DEFINITE STATEMENTS ACTIVITIES OF SEARCHERS (United Press Assn. —By Telegraph—Copyright.) Sydney, April 18. It is reported at Wyndham that Captain Keith Anderson’s Kookooburra was seen and heard 100 miles south of Wyndham on Friday, April 12. The report is not confirmed.

The Canberra searched the country almost to Turkey Creek following rumours that Captain Anderson had been seen there. Captain Holden continues his search today. Two Royal Australian Air Force planes were aloft for 51 hours yesterday. Three more machines of the Royal Australian Air Force have left Point Cook to assist in the search and will reach Oodnadatta to-day. A later message states that Captain Holden, in wireless messages from the Canberra, says that Mr Griffith, his wife, four other men and 30 natives all declare that they heard Captain Anderson’s aeroplane over Turkey Creek last Friday. This rumour is confirmed by the postmaster at Turkey Creek, who also heard the plane. There is plenty of water in the area searched by the Canberra. —Australian Press Association.
