MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the Southland Land Board yesterday there were present :—The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr N. C. Kensington) and Messrs H. J. Middleton, Jas. Hargest, N. Wilson and L. A. Niederer. Correspondence. The Under-Secretary for Lands advised that Mr L. A. Niederer had been appointed a member of the Southland Land Board. — Section 16, Block VIII., Waikawa S.D., 14ac Or 28p, 5.T.L.,. Herbert Campbell.— Resolution of 21/3/29 rescinded and that land be proclaimed under the D.S.S. Act and allotted to H. Campbell under S.T. lease at capital value of £5O. Mrs Lily York applied to purchase her occupation with right-of-purchase license over Section 12 and 12R Block L, Waikawa S.D, comprising 83ac 2r ,09p.—Approved. William York applied to purchase on deferred payment his O.P.R. license of Section 4, Block 1., Waikawa S.D., comprising 76ac Ir .07p.—Approved. Miss Elspeth Gerrard applied to purchase her O.R.P. license over Section 391, Block XIV., Forest Hill Hundred, comprising 35ac Or .08p.—Approved. John Davies applied for a temporary license over Sections 67 and 74, Township of Tuatapere. Extension No. 2.—Year-to-year right granted at £1 per annum. Edward Ryan applied for a grazing license over Section 2, Beaumont Settlement, comprising 351 ac 2r ,08p.—Month-to-month right granted at rental of 10/- per month. Right, subject to cancellation on one week’s notice. D. Tecofsky applied for a temporary grazing license over Sections 5 and 16, Block XII., Longwood District, comprising 358 ac 3r.—Grazing rights for six months granted at a rental of £5. J. B. C. Watt, lessee of Education Reserve, Section 22, Block IV., Wendonside District, applied for permission to erect post and wire fences across the section. —Permission granted. The Chief Surveyor presented a plan of survey of Road Deviations Parts Sections 568 and 355 in Block XXXVII, Taringatura S.D., which was surveyed for the Southland County Council by Mr G. R. Milward, Plan R. 570. —Approved. Transfers. Section 23, Block IV., Aparima Hundred, 133 ac Or 22p, Robert Herbert Officer to Alfred George Taylor.—Approved. Section 4/5, Block VL, Town of Edendale, 13ac 2r 19p, David Morton to John Prentice Lockie. —Approved. Run 530, Block IX., Takitimo S.D., 3,550 acres, Charles Newman Draper to Colin John Speight.—Approved. Sections 4,5, 5R., Block XL, Wendon S. 898acs 2r 15p, James Breen to Alexander Dickie Smith.—Approved. Section 15, Block 111., Town of Otautau, Ir, Flora Macdonald, as Executrix to George H. Bone. —Approved. L. R. Jordan applied for a temporary grazing right over Lots 3,4, 5,6, 17, 18, 19 and 20, Waikiwi Extension No. I.— Week-to-week granted at 5/- per week. No horses to be grazed. W. Dawson applied for the grazing right from week-to-week over the-Education Reserve sections in the Township of Waikiwi Extension No. I.—Refused.
