BLUFF POSTMASTER TRANSFERRED. FAREWELL BY STAFF. i Mr F. W. Dingwall, who has been station- i I ed at Bluff for the. past four years, left yes- I terday for Roxburgh to take charge of the office there. | In the morning Mr Dingwall was met by the members of his staff and presented with a Loewe pipe. In making the presentation, i the senior clerk, Mr A. J. Brown expressed ■ his regret and that of the staff at Mr Ding- - wall’s departure. At the same time he I was pleased to see that Mr Dingwall had ■ mounted another step on the Public Service ' ladder. The most cordial relations had ■ I always existed between the postmaster and 1 his staff, which helped materially towards the efficient service of their respective de- i partments. They could only hope his successor would prove as valuable and popular man as Mr Dingwall. Mr Brown concluded by expressing the hope that Mrs Dingwall’s health would improve by the change of i climate. j Mr Dingwall briefly replied, thanking | them for their remarks and the presentation. , h Mr Dingwall was also accorded a fare- I J well by the members of the bowling club, l| of which he has been one of the strongest I supporters during his residence at.
