Wedding of Famous Twin

(From Our Correspondent.) London. There was a very youthful atmosphere about the wedding of the Hon Alison HoreRuthven, twin sister of the Hon. Margaret, who was married at the Guards’ Chapel to Mr John Barran. These tamous twins, who have always dressed alike up 'o the moment when one of them appeared at the church door in her snowv white tulle which made the wedding gown, train and veil, are the very incarnation of youth. I was not. surprised to hear that the honeymoon is being spent in New York, dancing' and theatre-going. pictures of Louise, the Cairn terrier the twins own in common, that Margaret gave to Alison for a wedding gift. Louise Is not to go to New York. She will remain with Margaret for the present. "A.,” as her family call her, to distinguish her from her sister, has had a great many presents wherewith to furnish her London house, ranging from a complete edition of "The Cries of London” from Grace Lady Wemyss to boxes of giant matches from Miss Audrey Kidston, a bride-to-be herself.

As- the bridegroom is connected with the White Star Line, London will claim this attractive couple.

On the practical side were a set of cooking pots from Lady Aline Vivian, and both practical and beautiful was the crocodile dressing-case with gold fittings, from the bride’s sister, Lady Carlisle, with the scent bottles ready filled with the bride’s favourite ecent.

I did not sec a single clock, and as modern young people do not bother greatly about time, this should hardly be a serious lack; but there were plenty of cigarette cases and match-boxes for the lion Mrs Barran, as she is now, is an inveterate smoker.
