LITTLE FOOD LEFT

SAILING SHIP BECALMED.

LINER’S TIMELY APPEARANCE.

Perth, March 6

The liner Jervis Bay met the Finnish sailing ship Grace Harmer almost becalmed in the bight when the latter was 150 days out from North Carolina. She was flying the distress signal and when a boat came alongside from the Jervis Bay the mate said that they were in a bad way for want of stores. These were supplied. The mate said that in two more days they would have been in a serious plight. No more news could be obtained concerning their experiences.—Australian Press Association.
