Dm656 BOROUGH OF BLUFF. “NOXIOUS WEEDS ACT, 1908” AND “AMENDMENTS ACTS OF 1910 AND 1923.” TTOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT Li every Owner and Occupier of land within the Borough of Bluff on which any Noxious Weeds, such as Ragwort, Broom, Gorse, Thistles, Docks, Blackberry, Lupins, etc., are now growing, must cut down, grub out and destroy such weeds within SEVEN DAY’S from date hereof. For the purposes of this Act and Amendments, the boundary shall be deemed to extend to the centre of the road. Owners or Occupiers of land on which live hedges are growing must cut back or trim such hedges so that they do not overhang on any street or footpath. Legal proceedings will be IMMEDIATELY’ instituted against persons who have failed to comply with this notice in the time specified. H. C. PURSUANT to Section 8 of “The Dogs Registration Act, 1908” and Amendments thereto, PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Fee for the Registration of Dogs in the Borough of Bluff for the year commencing on the Ist day of January, 1929, has been fixed at TEN SHILLINGS per dog. The above fee is due and payable on or before the 14th day of January, 1929, at the Municipal Offices, Gore Street, Bluff. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bluff Borough Council at a Special Meeting convened for the purpose and held on Tuesday, the 11th day of December, 1928, passed the following resolution : “That the Bluff Borough Council in pursuance of the powers and provisions of ‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920’ hereby resolves by way of Special Order that the naiHes of the following Streets in the Borough of Bluff be altered as follows: — “1. That section of Ward Parade as shown on the New Zealand Lands and Survey Plan, 1922, running from Section 3, Block 1, Campbelltown East, to the junction of Henderson Street and Ward Parade to be renamed ‘Gore Street.’ “2. That section of Ward Parade as shown on the New Zealand Lands and Survey Plan, 1922, running from the junction of Henderson Street and Ward Parade to Starling Point to be renamed ‘Marine Parade.’ ” AND NOTICE is hereby further given that the said Resolution will be submitted for coflfirmation as a Special Order to a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Gore Street, Bluff, on Tuesday, the 15th day of January, 1929, at 8 p.m. H. C. GIMBLETT, Town Clerk. Bluff, 14th December, 1928. BOROUGH OF INVERCARGIL. SOUTH AREA WATER AND SEWERAGE LOAN OF £62,500. SPECIAL ORDER. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a special meeting of The Invercargill Borough Council held on the 27th day of November 1928 it was resolved to raise a loan by special order as follows: THE INVERCARGILL BOROUGH COUNCIL in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Municipal Corporations Act 1920” and “The Local Bodies Ixians Act 1926” and “The Health Act 1920” hereby resolves by Special Order as follows: 1. To raise a special loan of £62,500 for the installation of a water supply and street reticulation of mainpipes, and sewerage installation and reticulation of sewers for the area now part of the Borough of Invercargill described in Order-in-Council dated 13th December 1927, Gazette No. 87, including outfall sewer for existing sewerage tanks, as required by the Board of Health by requisition dated 19th November 1928 made under Section 22 of “The Health Act 1920.” 2. The said loan of ’£62,500 shall be secured upon a sinking fund of £1 per centum per annum on the amount of the loan or of such other amount as may be required by The Local Government Loans Board or by Order-in-Council and also upon all the income and revenues of the Borough; and that the said interest and sinking fund shall also be secured by a special rate on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Invercargill sufficient to pay the yearly interest and sinking fund of the loan as they fall due and ten per centum more than the amount thereof. 3. The said loan of £62,500 shall be repaid by the issue of debentures payable on the Ist day of January—l 949 or at the expiration of such term as shall be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order-in-Council and bearing interest not exceeding the rate of £5 10/- per centum per annum or such other fate as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order-in-Council, the debentures to contain the express condition that The Invercargill Borough Council is entitled to redeem the whole or any of the debentures on the first day of January—--1939 upon giving at least 6 months previous notice by “Public notice” as defined in The Municipal Corporations Act 1920, of its intention so to do, and payment of interest shall cease accordingly. 4. The sinking fund may be calculated and paid on so much only of the loan actually raised on or before the 28th day of February in any year. PUBLIC NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the foregoing resolution shall be submitted to a special meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Tay Street, Invercargill, on Tuesday—the Bth of January 1929 at 4.45 o’clock p.m. for confirmation as a special order.
