FIVE KILLED
EXPLOSION IN POWDER FACTORY. London, October 15. An explosion in the mixing shed of a Hasting powder factory at Bramble Island, near Harwick, killed three men and two girls. Windows were smashed five miles away. The factory was situated at a lonely spot in the marshes.—Australian Press Association—United Service.
