VISCOUNT LASCELLES
REQUEST TO IRISH GOVERNMENT. London, October 10. Viscount Lascelles has informed the Free State Government that Princess Mary and he deeply regretted even indirectly causing suffering to anyone in Ireland, and therefore hoped a way would be found whereby no vindictive action would be taken against misguided persons suspected of starting the fire at Portumna. These persons might have considered that his visit had political significance.—Australian Press Association.
