ROUGH PASSAGE
SCHOONER’S EXPERIENCE. (Rec. 7.5 p.m.) Sydney, October 10. The schooner Margaret W. has arrived from Gisborne. Captain Wachlin reports a stormy passage of 16 days. Four hundred miles off the Australian coast they encountered a dust storm. The visibility was less than a mile in the day time while the dust lasted.—Australian Press Association.
