HUNGRY PEASANTS
FOOD SHORTAGE IN RUSSLA. Moscow, October 9. The drought, the failure of crops, and the shortage of butter and eggs necessitates instant relief for 350,000 starving children in the Ukraine, where 4,000,000 peasants are going hungry. The Soviet voted £1,250,000 for food and relief works. Typhus is adding to the people’s suffering.—United Service.
