TRANS-CANADIAN FLIGHT. Winnipeg, September 7. A message from Edmonton states that rain, snow and wind forced Godfrey, the trans-Canadian flyer, to delay his hop off for Vancouver. He expects to start off on the last 753 miles to-night.—Australian Press Association. FLIGHT COMPLETED. (Rec. 11.30 pm.) Vancouver, September 8. Major Earle Godfrey and Sergeant-Major M. Graham completed the first air-mail flight across Canada on Saturday evening. They left Ottawa on Wednesday morning. The flying time was 32 hours. The flight was of an exploratory nature to determine future routes to be used by seaplanes.—Australian Press Association —United Service. PLANE MISSING IN NORTH SEA. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, September 8. The Air Ministry announces that pilot, Hatton. Lieutenant Booth, and a telegraphist, Grigson, belonging to the flight attached to the aircraft carrier Argus are missing in the North Sea after a reconnaisance flight. Ships have searched for the men without avail.
