COUSIN BETTY’S LETTER
MY DEAREST COUSINS, I have left your letter very late this week, because I thought I was going to Lave a nice little surprise for you. But I am now assured that it will be ready for next week without fail, and so I promise you that it is quite worth waiting for, Cousins. I shall now. however, have to think of a very good excuse to give the printer-man for keeping him waiting for this so long, and I simply can't let it be too long, and risk making him really angry, can I? I’ll just get to business, and 1* done with it. First of all, I have been so disappointed very many times lately to find Cousins have called in to see me when I have been out, that I think it will be wise to tell you the times when I am not in—until the plays are over, at all events. Here is the list of my rehearsals:— Monday—Orphan’s Hall—4 o’clock. Tuesday—Orphan’s Hall—4 o’clock. —Church of Christ Hall —| to 7 p.m. Friday—Church of Christ Hall—} to 7 p.m. Saturday—Orphan’s Hall—lo a.m. —Orphan’s Hall—2 p.m. —St. John’s Hall —2 p.m. So you know now, Cousins, when not to call on me just now. The “Goblin Gold” Cousins meet on Saturday at 2 o’clock in St. John’s Hall. I was so interested in a letter I received from a girl Cousin that I simply must quote a part of i r , even running the risk of earning the printer-man’s anger: I am going to sail away from New Zealand altogether. I am going far away over the blue seas to England. Then to France, and then I am going to America, never to return. I shall marry an American millionaire, and five happily ever after. I shall live in Florida. Now I wonder if any of you can guess who wrote that ? No—l’ll never, never tell you. I send you my very best love, Cousins—
