OBITUARY
MR RICHARD WHITEING. Rugby, June 20. The death is announced of Mr Richard Whiteing, the well-known novelist, aged eighty-eight.—British Official Wireless. Mr Whiteing was born in London. He was for many years a well-known journalist, holding important positions, both as leader writer and as Paris correspondent to leading English daily papers. Among his most popular books are “No. 5 John Street, “The Yellow Van,” and “The Life of Paris.” THE HON. REGINALD JAMES BLACK. (Rec. 5.5 p.m. Sydney, June 30. The death is announced of the Hon.
