Rudman, Principal, the Kowhai Junior High School, the first of such institutions to be established by Sir James Parr, when Minister of Education, appears to be doomed owing to the opposition of the present Minister and the Director to separale institutions. Mr Rudman, at a meeting of householders, traversed Kowhat’s history since its inauguration in 1922 after which it was resolved unanim6usly: "This meeting of parents is convinced that a separate Jujtior High School as exemplified at Kowhai is of such advantage to pupils attending that the continuation in its present form is of vital importance to the combined district so well served by its formation.
