BODY FOUND ON RAILWAY LINE. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, June 28. The dead body of John William Taylor, aged 71, residing at Claudelanda, was found on the railway line this afternoon shortly after the passing of a train. It is presumed that he was run down while crossing the line. BODY FOUND IN RIVER. Taihape, June 28. The body of a young domestic, Sarah Mcßride, was found in the Hautahu River this morning. Deceased was only five months out from Home and had complained of loneliness. DEATH FROM INJURIES. New Plymouth, June 28. 'John Lord, aged 50, a commercial traveller of Christchurch who was injured in a motor smash at Mangorei on June 20, died in the New Plymouth hospital last night. The injuries were caused by a service bus plunging over a bank 25 feet. An inquest was opened to-day and adjourned. SUICIDE BY GAS POISONING. Christchurch, June 28. Donald Alexander Mcßae was found dead in bed to-'day at his home Spreydon. A gas tube was lying near and the gas turned fully on. Mcßae, a returned soldier, had been disabled by a bullet wound in the spine. The bullet had not been extracted and at times he suffered intense pain. At the inquest to-night, the Coroner returned a verdict of suicide by gas poisoning.
