LUCKY ESCAPE

YACHT CAPSIZES. (Per United Press Association.) Thames, June 28. An Auckland yachtsman, Lewis Milton Wood, had a miraculous escape last night when the eighteen footer Solace capsized at anchor in a sudden squall off Puru w Thames coast. Wood, who was on a solitary cruise, lashed himself to the yacht which floated awash. The capsize occurred at 3.30 in the afternoon and Wood was not rescued until the yacht had been run into by the Whakatiti at 12.45 this morning off Tararu. Wood is suffering from exposure.
