McCONACHY’S WORLD’S RECORD. (Rec. 1.5 a.m.) Melbourne, June 28. McConachy’s match against Fred Lindrum was abandoned owing to the latter’s illness. A new match of 14,000 up against Walter Lindrum was commenced. SCORES: Lindrum (in play) 123. McConachy 687. McConachy compiled a world’s record break with a perfect run of 687, being the best break ever made in a first stroke in any billiards match.—Australian Press Association. ,
