In the Supreme Court to-day, finality was reached in the case concerning the estate of the late Charles Lewis, Waipukurau. Brian Llansenwyr Lewis, son of the deceased, applied to the court for a benefit of £4,000 from the estate. The application was supported on behalf of other beneficiaries under the will. Brian Lewis had received a grant of £5OOO during hia father’s lifetime but had lost it all in a farming venture. Differences arose between the father and son which were unreconciled at the time of his death. The estate was worth about £14,000. An order was made for Brian Lewis to receive £4OOO under conditions agreed upon.
