PROPRIETOR FINED £75. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, June 27. Archibald Anderson, aged 27, came before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court and pleaded guilty to using premises in Hobson street as a common gaming house. Detective Sergeant Kelly said that An derson was in the employ of a tobacconist at present in hospital. When the premises were raided a quantity of betting matter was found. Last year defendant had been fined £25 for assisting in a common gaming house. Mr Hunt: It was evidently business on a large scale that was carried on. However, he has pleaded guilty and is entitled to some consideration. He will be fined £75.
