HUMPHRIES—On June 26, 1928, at his residence, “Marairua,” Tuturau, James Edward, beloved husband of Jane Humphries; aged 78 years. The friends of the late James Edward Humphries (and family) are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, which will leave the residence, “Marairua,” Tuturau, on Thursday, June 28, at 2 p.m. for the Mataura Cemetery.— W. P. Thorn, Undertaker. KNOX—At her residence, 35 Centre Street, Georgetown (suddenly) on Tuesday, June 26, 1928, Elizabeth Mary, the dearly loved wife of Roderick H. Knox, and eldest daughter of the late John and Georgina Lamond, of Wrights Bush; aged 39 years. At Rest. The funeral will leave the house on Thursday, 28th inst., at 2.30 p.m. for the Eastern Cemetery. Friends please accept this (the only) intimation.—J. Fraser & Co., Undertakers.
