Mr. J. Miller, registrar of the Supreme Court in Christchurch, who was recently appointed a stipendiary magistrate, will leave Christchurch on July 9 to relieve in centres on the Main Trunk line. He will take up his permanent duties at Masterton in August.

Constable George Macartney, who has been in charge of North Invercargill for the past nine months, has resigned from the police force and has been granted three months’ leave of absence, which will terminate at the end of September. He will be replaced by Constable Melville, of Addington.
