SERIES OF THEFTS
MAN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, May 22. In the Magistrate’s Court, Henry Patrick Moore (38) pleaded guilty to eight charges of breaking and entering various houses early this month, and committing theft. The police said the accused travelled round as a tinker to gain entrance. He broke letfdlights over the doors or windows and then loosened the catch. In all he had taken £lOO worth of goods and jewellery from eight houses, and he was caught in the act at a Sydenham house. He was committed for sentence. No bail was applied for.
