JEWELLERY STOLEN
THIEVES’ SUBSTANTIAL HAUL. New York, May 14. A report from Long Island reports that Lady Sparks, wife of Sir Ashley Sparks, resident director of the New York general agency of the Cunard Company, has reported that jewellery valued at 25,000 dollars was stolen from her residence on the night of May 13 while more than nine servants were in the house at Pontiac.—Australian Press Association.
