CASE DISMISSED
ACTION BY PLUMBERS’ UNION. (Per United Press Association.) Hamilton, May 16. The Auckland Plumbers’ Union failed in an action against the Hamilton Hardware Company for employing a non-unionist. The defence was that the employee was engaged in 1921 before the present award came into force. He had previously been a member of the union but resigned because of a fine which he considered unjust. Mr. Platts, S.M., upheld the defence and dismissed the action.
