THEFT OF MONEY
ADMITTED TO PROBATION. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, May 15. Richard Green appeared in the Magistrate’s .Court to-day charged with stealing £lO 5/6 which charge was amended to stealing £3. The circumstances were that Green accepted the sum of £3 to invest on a horse at a recent trotting meeting. The horse won and the dividend on £3 amounted to £lO 5/6. Accused failed to return either the dividend or the £3. He was convicted and placed on probation for two years.
