The most prolific speaker in the House of Commons up to the adjournment for the summer recess was Mr Winston Churchill, whose speeches filled 245 columns of Hansard. Sir Douglas Hogg is second in the list with 222, Mr Lloyd George third with 168, and Commander Kenworthy fourth with 153 columns. The greatest number of oral questions answered by a Minister was 632, addressed to Sir William JoynsonHicks.
