McCORKINDALE CUP. FIXTURES AT GORE. Yesterday afternoon the Gore Citizens the Gore Tennis Clubs’ members met in the final of the McCorkindale Cup competition which has been arousing great interest among local players. The games were keenly contested, but owing to the failing light had to be abandoned at the most interesting stage. Only one set of singles remains to be completed and on this the result of the competition depends. The detailed scores were as follow: —Doubles — McMillan and Livingstone beat Meldrum and McLeod 3—6, B—6, 6—4, 6-“ l. —Singles— McMillan lost to McLeod 4—6, 3—6. Livingstone lost to Meldrum 2—6 4—6. Livingstone beat McLeod 6—3, 6—B, 6—2. The remaining set was unfinished.
