PETERSHAM MURDER

McPHERSON’S ARREST. FULL CONFESSION MADE. Sydney, June 20. The Commissioner of Police has received advice from Bathurst to the effect that McPherson had made a full confession.—A. and N.Z. While Martha Quinn, aged twenty-two, a waitress, was walking to her home in Petersham on the night of June 11, a man in the street fired five shots from a revolver at her. Four of them took effect. Miss Quinn was dead when picked up. Her murderer escaped. Norman Clyde McPherson was afterwards arrested at Bathurst.
