FIREMEN INJURED

PETROL EXPLODES. ACCIDENT IN CHRISTCHURCH. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 18. A fire early this morning at a shop in Lincoln Road was attended by a serious accident when an open tin of petrol burst and injured two firemen, including Superintendent Warner. Both were admitted to hospital with burns on the body and the feet. Their condition is now satisfactory. The other man is Foreman Lowe. Another fireman, Rush, was cut by glass in diving out of a window to escape the blazing petrol.
