IMPRESSIVE FUNERAL
LATE ARCHDEACON DEVOY. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, June 14. The funeral of Archdeacon Devoy took place this morning. Requiem Mass was celebrated by Archbishop O’Shea, Monsignor McKenna assisting. The musical part of the ceremony was carried out by St. Patrick’s choir. An eloquent funeral oration was delivered by Archbishop Redwood. The funeral cortege was a long one. Many lined the streets bareheaded as it passed.
