DUNEDIN’S POST OFFICE
RUMOUR OF ABANDONMENT. STATEMENT REFUTED. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, May 5. As a result of a rumour that the building of the new Post Office for Dunedin had been abandoned and the plans pigeon-holed, a large deputation waited on the Hon. K. S. Williams, who assured the speakers that there was no truth in the rumour. Any delay was due not to the intention of abandoning the scheme, but to consideration of how many other departmental offices could be housed in one building. It was the intention of the Prime Minister to proceed with the building when plans were fixed.
