WEKA PASS SMASH
FURTHER PARTICULARS. WILLIAMS SUFFERING FROM SHOCK. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, May 5. About mid-day j'esterday a five-seater cat with two occupants, Robin E. Boag and Joseph Williams,, both employed by the Temperance and General Insurance Company, was struck by the Culverden express at Weka Pass. Mr Boag suffered severe scalp injuries and shock, and is now a patient at Waikari Hospital. Mr Wiliams, district agent for the company at Kaiapoi, also suffered from shock, but after hospital treatment at Waikari was able to be taken home. The machine was smashed beyond repair.
