INDIAN RIOTING
SIKHS AND MOSLEMS TWENTY KILLED, ONE HUNDRED INJURED MILITARY PATROLLING LAHORE STREETS (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Rec. 8.30 p.m.) Delhi, May 5. Grave rioting has taken place between Sikhs and Moslems at Lahore, in which 20 were killed and 100 injured. British and Indian troops were called out, and armoured cars are patrolling the city. The cavalry are standing by. There was a panic in the bazaars, which were closed. An insult to a Sikh woman by Moslems was the cause of the outbreak.—A. and N.Z.
