ARMY MEAT
AUSTRALIA SECURES CONTRACT. London, May 4. No announcement has been made concerning the tinned meat contract for the Admiralty. It is understood that Australia would have obtained the whole, but as the tenderers do not supply one, two and four pound tins, cold pickle process, these will be given to South America, but Australia will be given the six-pounders, which is the major part of the contract.—A. and N.Z.
