APPLICATIONS FOR UNITED STATES. NEW ZEALAND’S QUOTA FILLED. (Per Unitpd Press Association.) Wellington, April 4. The New Zealand quota of United States immigration 100 per annum is already more than filled for the year ending June—in fact enough applications for visas for next year are already in hand. Mr Lowrie, of the United States Consulate, when approached to-day said the matter of increasing the quotas of some countries, including New Zealand, had been considered by Congress, but it was decided to make no change for another year at least except in the case of some of the larger countries.
