There were no shipping movements at the port yesterday. The dredge Murihiku has commenced to discharge spoil into the area behind the concrete wall recently erected east of the railway approach at Bluff. An oil steamer is daily expected at- Bluff to discharge into the oil tanks there. The Moeraki leaves Wellington at 4 p.m. to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due here on Saturday and sails the same day for Melbourne. The Kamo Is now due at Bluff to-day from Westport. She will sail for northern ports this evening. The Kurow is scheduled to leave Auckland on Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She should arrive here about April 17. The steamer General Smuts, which was at Bluff recently with a cargo of hardwood, arrived at Alexandria on Saturday. The steamer Baron Ardrossan arrived at Auckland on Saturday with a cargo of sugar from Cuba. The steam yacht Surprise, owned by Mr Godfrey Williams, the Welsh millionaire, is scheduled to leave Auckland on April 16 for Honolulu and England. The Surprise, which is one of the most palatial yachts afloat, has been cruising in New Zealand waters for several months. The Aorangi is reported to have arrived at Vancouver on Saturday last from Auckland. The City of Kimberley, from New York, via Auckland, was timed to leave Wellington yesterday for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The vessel is due here on April 14 with a large cargo for discharge. Cable advice has been received that the Canadian Britisher sailed from Halifax on Wednesday with general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timarue and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on May 8, and at Wellington a week later. The Persian Prince is to leave Galveston, Texas, with a full cargo of sulphur on April 12. She is due at Auckland on May 20, and will discharge at Lyttelton, Wanganui and New’ Plymouth before going to Australia. Now loading at London, the Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Corinthic is to leave Southampton on April 22 with passengers for Wellington and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on May 30. The Orient liner Osterley is timed to sail from Sydney on April 12 for London, via Suez, Port Said, Naples, Toulon, Gibraltar and Plymouth. The Orient Line has now five liners of 20,000 tons engaged in the London-Sydney ' service. In addition, there are four vessels of over 14,000 tons and nine of over , 12,000. KIA ORA’S CARGO. The Kia Ora is due at Bluff from Oamaru about Sunday, April 10, to load the following cargo for America and London:— i 3,000 bales of wool, 11,000 carcases of meat (freight carcases), 2,000 boxes of butter j and 9,500 crates of cheese. ARAWA FROM LIVERPOOL.
