MONTHLY MEETING YESTERDAY’S PROCEEDINGS NUMBER OF TRANSFERS APPROVED The monthly meeting of the Southland Land Board was held yesterday. Present: The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr N. C. Kensington f and Messrs H. J. Middleton, J. Carmichael, J. Hargest and William Watson. CORRESPONDENCE. The Commissioner of Crown Lands stated that advice had been received that his Excellency the Governor had appointed Mr William Watson to be a member of the Southland Land Board.—Received. Charles Stewart, of Mataura, lessee of Secs. 44, 45, Blk. VII Town of Mataura, 10 acres, applied to have the new lease issued in the name of Agnes Stewart. Approved. The Black Lion Coal Company applied for the use of a small area about 1 chain on each side of their tramway adjoining the Morley stream by about 1 chain along the tramway itself on either side.—Year to year right granted at £1 per annum. It is proposed to consider the cancellation of the licensee’s interest in his year to year license of the River Reserve opposite Sec. 645 Hokonui S.D., 7 acres, and to allot the area to Thomas Rutter. —Existing license cancelled as from 15/12/26 and new license from year to year granted to Thomas Rutter at £1 10/- per annum. It is proposed to consider the cancellation of the temporary year to year license over Sec. 24 town of Clifden, 2ac. Ir. 16p., and to consider advisability of submitting section for sale by public auction. —License cancelled and section to be s bmitted at auction for cash at upset price of £lO. Messrs Russell Sons and Meredith on behalf of the trustees in the estate of Charles H. J. Clare (deceased) requested that the year to year license over Ferry Reserve Sec. 85, Blk V. Campbelltown Hundred (300 acres) be cancelled. —License cancelled as from December 31, 1926. Messrs J. L. McG. Watson and Charles Gilbertson (trustees of the late Reginald McKinnon) who hold a year to year license over Sec. 3 and gravel bed Blk 1 Feldwick township (Bac. 2r. Op.) stated that they desire their license to lapse as from date to which rent is now paid.—License cancelled accordingly. Messrs J. L. McG. Watson and Charles Gilbertson (trustees of the late Reginald McKinnon) who hold a yfear to year license over Sec. 13, Blk II Feldwick township (1 acre) stated that they desired their license to lapse as from date to which rent is now paid.—License cancelled as from February 23. 1927. Messrs J. L. McG. Watson and Charles Gilbertson (trustees of the late Reginald McKinnon) who hold a year to year license over Secs. 14, Pt. 15 and 16, Blk II Feldwick township (27ac. 3r.
