The Western District Challenge Cup, which was presented by the Southland Centre, ten years since, to be played for annually among the bowling clubs of the Western district, the club with the greatest number of wins during the ten years to become the owners, has now been won by the Riverton Club. The above club has won this handsome trophy eight times, the game against Nightcaps on Saturday last being the deciding game for this season. The cup will probably be formally prepresented to the Riverton Club by an official of the Southland Centre, several of whom will be competing at Riverton in the rink carnival.
