PREVENTION OF JUTE FIBRES IN WOOL. 4 S you will have noticed from4he Press on Ji. various occasions the existence of Jute Fibres in Wool is a source of great trouble in manufacture, and various means have been suggested for their elimination. All-wool woolpacks have been tried, but evidently these have not given the relief which was hoped for. A much simpler and less expensive means has now been suggested by the British W’ool Federation, who ask that.it be given effect to by the New Zealand farmers. What is suggested is that growers pack wool into the present style of WOOLPACK TURNED INSIDE OUT, thus bringing the rough side, seams, and loose ends on the outside of bale. Woolgrowers in other parts of the Dominion are eagerly taking up the suggestion offered, and we trust you will do likewise. Just remember before putting any 7 wool into the pack to turn it outside in, and be careful to see that any loose fibres are not allowed to drop in the wool or on the floor. ALFRED BUNTING.
