When the weather is at all favourable the crews are out with a view to keeping in good form for the coming regattas. The younger rowers are showing considerable improvement, and should they continue so, should be in good trim for coming events. BOWLING. There was a large attendance, both clubs being well supported. On Wednesday a team of ladies from the Invercargill Croquet Club paid a visit to the seaside, and met the Aparima* members. The visitors were loyally entertained by the home club, and despite unfavourable climatic conditions prevailing part of the time, the visitors had an enjoyable outing. The cosy green and appointments were looking very well, and great praise is due the caretaker, Mr George Lockett, who had the grounds in the best of condition for the play. The president, Mrs y. E.
